Wild Trumpets is an artist-led gallery and community-facing project founded in 2022 by Brazilian artist Mariana Mauricio. Located on the corner of Saint Lukes Mews x All Saints Road, Notting Hill, where the Mangrove Nine once rallied against injustice - and opposite People’s Sound; the heart and soul of Carnival - Wild Trumpets carries forward the spirit of openness, exchange and solidarity. Our mission is to remove the barrier between artist and audience. Our exhibitions bring together emerging and established artists. Alongside each exhibition, our artist-led workshops offer drop-in sessions that celebrate process, curiosity and conversation.
At Wild Trumpets, art is never passive or exclusive, it’s something to take part in. Exhibitions inspire workshops, and ideas born during workshops inform future projects. Exhibitions and workshops are united as part of a single collaborative practice, to create a ongoing loop of shared experience, experimentation, and active participation.
